It’s been a few days since February came to an end, which can only mean one thing- it’s time for a February Recap! I probably should’ve gotten around to this as soon as the month ended. That was a silly mistake on my part. Well, you know what they say- better late than never, right?
Rather than ramble on any longer, let’s just get right into the thick of it!
Ins
1. Learning French
I’ve been learning French off-and-on since I was about nine years old. That’s largely due to mandatory (and later elective) classes I had to take in school. Now that I’m out of school, the last thing I want to do is lose my chance to become fluent in the beautiful language. I’m planning to use Duolingo every day to get a French lesson in. If you have any language learning app or software that you love, let me know!
2. Bullet Journalling
I purchased a bullet journal back in December because it was the perfect excuse to try one out. I wasn’t sure it would end up being for me; I’m the worst artist I know, so I could never recreate any cool layouts I saw on Pinterest or Instagram. But instead of getting frustrated over what I can’t do, I decided to use my bullet journal to the best of my abilities. I’ve used it mainly to write out routines and monthly goals, and it’s helped me quite a bit. Needless to say, I don’t regret this purchase.
3. The Skinny Confidential podcast
I got into listening to podcasts as an excuse to listen to more true crime-related stuff. Call me weird or creepy, but it’s true. Lately however, I’ve been exploring non-true crime podcasts. With so many out there, it was hard to ignore everything that’s out there. My favourite so far has been The Skinny Confidential, create by Lauryn Evarts. It inspires me to be better and do better, and Evarts is a nice voice to listen to. I’m a fan, and I recommend it to anyone!
Outs
1. Procrastination
I’ll be honest- I’m a huge procrastinator. I know that’s hardly unique, but it’s certainly annoying. Recently I’ve had to come to terms with just how damaging my procrastination habit has been to a number of different aspects in my life. It’s seriously time for me to buckle down and eliminate my procrastination problem once and for all.
2. Being Unhealthy
I’m not proud to admit that when it came to eating well and working out, I totally screwed up. I know that I’ve gained a lot of weight due to my bad habits, and it really makes me sick. I’ve vowed that March is the start of a new healthy lifestyle that I can (hopefully) stick to for forever.
3. Bold Lipstick
Bold & dark lipsticks are my favourite thing ever. I purposely wear simple eye and face makeup so that my lipstick can take centre stage. Lately however, I’ve grown a little tired of the high-maintenance aspect of wearing bold lipsticks. I’ve either worn nude or light pink colours, or have just used plain lip balm. Will I stop wearing bold lipstick altogether? Probably not. But I’m definitely not going to wear it every single day like I used to.

That’s my February Recap! As you can clearly see, I have a lot to do when it comes to improving myself. So, you can expect more than a handful of blog posts that concern the topic. Who knows- maybe something I write about will end up helping you, too! Stay tuned to see what my next post is all about.
