I must admit: I seriously debating not doing a May Recap at all. This month wasn’t really that eventful or memorable whatsoever. It honestly felt like a blur of work, little sleep, eating, and more work. Needless to say, it was something of a disaster for me.
But after much debate, I decided to try and compile some sort of Monthly Recap for the month of May. I’m not saying that this past month was a complete failure; it just wasn’t what I had hoped it would be.
Ins:
1. My new car
The best thing that happened to me in the month of May was that I bought a new car! I bought a new black 2019 Toyota Corolla to replace my old vehicle. It’s beautiful, techy, and runs a hell of a lot better. To say that I’m happy with it would be a massive understatement- I love it so very much. I intend to keep it for years to come.
2. Editing my WIP
Lexi’s Love & War, the sequel to my Wattpad story Lexi’s In A New City, was completed during May. That means that it’s time to edit the entire thing! I’ve only scratched the surface recently, which means that I have a ton more work ahead of me. I predict that it will take me most, if not all summer to get it done.
3. Books
After going for a couple of months without reading, I’ve finally managed to get back into it. Considering how many books I’ve recently bought- both fiction and non-fiction, I might add- it’s high time that I get back into reading for a change. Needless to say, I’m excited to dig into some new books!
Outs:
1. My old car
While I appreciate my old car for getting me from point A to point B, it was high time to retire it. Like I said before, I’m beyond happy with my shiny new car!
2. Staying up late…
Lately, I’ve begun staying up late in order to complete work. The result of this has been getting more things done while getting less and less sleep. I’m trying to change things up so that I can get more things complete without losing so much damn sleep. After all, how productive can one be when you’re sleep deprived? Answer: Not a whole hell of a lot.
3. …And accidentally sleeping in
Despite my staying up late, I still try to wake up super early on work days. Unfortunately, I haven’t always been able to stay awake upon waking up. It’s clear that I need to overhaul my sleep schedule in order to function like a normal human being.

With this May Recap complete, I’m more than excited to jump into this month head first. I’m hoping that June will be more successful for me. I also hope that all of you have a successful June, too!
