October is over, so you know what that finally means- an October recap is here! This month has been super long and incredibly stressful for a number of reasons. Between work, unexpected car repairs, family emergencies and much more, I’m more than a little spent.
That’s probably why I’m so excited for November to finally be here. I’m hoping that it won’t be as crazy or stressful (although I recognize that typing that most likely just jinxed me). So, without further ado, here’s my October recap for this year!
INS:
1. Total Divas
If you want to know what my guilty pleasure is, it’s E!’s reality show Total Divas. While I’ve watched it off and on since it debuted back in five years, I’ve been watching this season every week since it debuted. The drama is sometimes a bit much and I’m sure some of it is scripted, but I still think it’s hilarious and fun to watch. If you haven’t watched it, you should- even if you’re not into WWE or wrestling whatsoever.
2. Having a morning routine
In my journey to get my own life back on track, I’ve been taking several steps to establish some sort of routine. My night routine needs a ton of work because I tend to go to bed at different hours and am usually a tired mess by night time. But for now, my morning routine is pretty much solid- and that makes me happy. Here’s hoping that I can keep it up for several months to come.
3. 2020 planner
As 2019 comes to a close, I’ve had to get a new planner. With 12-month planners seemingly nonexistent anymore (which is stupid, in my opinion), I had to purchase an 18-month planner for the coming year. I decided to start using it, and I actually like it way more than my old planner. The layout works way better for me, and I think I’m going to go back to the 18-month planner format for good!
OUTS:
1. Halloween
I have nothing against Halloween or with those who love to celebrate it. But it’s not a holiday that I particularly care for. I wish I could bring myself to dress up, yet I never remember to do it and always feel like it’s a nuisance. I’m not one who’s obsessed with it, but I’m finally looking forward to December so I can get into the Christmas spirit.
2. Autumn weather
All I’m going to say is that I’m already dreading having to deal with winter and the impending snow that’s going to ruin everything.
3. Not getting enough sleep
I can never seem to get a goodnight’s sleep, no matter how hard I try. Having said that, I know full well that it’s no one’s fault but my own. Can I finally get a fairly consistent bedtime? Who the hell knows. But this month, I’m going to try my best to do it!
***
There you have it! That’s my October Recap in a nutshell. Like I mentioned before, it’s been a crazy and stressful month for me. So if November could be more chill, I’d sincerely appreciate it. Let’s see if that actually holds true now.
xo,
Elizabeth
